Once upon a time, the children went to school here. The school was 27 m2, containing a classroom and teacher housing.
In 1947 the school was shut down and children were sailed to Langø for school. After that, the school was used as a summerhouse by the family Væver for many years. Now it is cared for by the previous mailman and his wife.
The best part is, that you can rent it and live in the middle of the amazing nature. The school can be rented all year round. On Albuen the winter season is at least as beautiful as the summer. All necessities are alredy provided in the house, and all you need to bring is what you wish to eat and drink.
The price for 2 people is DKK 600 a night and this is also the minimum price. You can be a maximum of 4 people in the house.
Bedding costs DKK 50, unless you bring your own.
During the season you can sail out there with Postbåden. Out of season, you can be driven over the narrrow sand peninsula by the owner in his Land Rover.
Other suggestions include kayaking, sailing your own boat or strapping on your backpack and walking the peninsula, which takes roughly an hour and 15 minutes.
